Description

Central Europe's largest urban rehabilitation takes place in the heart of Budapest. On the place of dilapidated and dead buildings at the Corvin Quarter a new urban quarter was formed on 22 hectare, with shopping centre, restaurants, office buildings and 2800 apartments.

The 22 hectare area with completely dilapidated buildings in the heart of historic Budapest had no prestige before its rehabilitation began in the early 2000s in the scope of a major property development project. The quarter transformed completely unrestorable buildings were demolished and replaced by residential blocks, a shopping mall and office centre.  The new buildings encompass the spacious Corvin Promenade, the hub of the area. Rehabilitation is still ongoing with further residential buildings and the new development centre of an international IT company being under construction. The apartments in the residential buildings of Corvin Quarter have become the current investment targets of the reviving Budapest property market, while the promenade flanked by shops and restaurants has become the new entertainment hub of the capital. There are 2,800 flats here, including Cordia Park Residence, ranging from studios to large penthouses ready to be taken by youth keen on downtown bustle.
